Unified partners (individuals without intellectual disabilities) train and compete as a teammate alongside Special Olympics athletes on a Unified Sports Team (either on a school or community team). Unified partners can be any age! There is no better way to combine a love of sports with the rewards of being of service than by becoming a Unified partner with Special Olympics Southern California!

Assist with set-up of fields and signage

May be placed in a variety of roles as deemed necessary by the competition manager.

Must be First Aid/CPR certified

Follow along with your group and record the score achieved at each hole.Responsible for enforcing rules as well as settling any rule/game disputes.

Responsible for coordinating the skills challenge, and recording the score achieved by the athlete.

Train athletes during scheduled practice times as well as accompany team to competitions. Create and maintain a positive and fun environment for all athletes. Work directly with our Programs Manager to support local coaches with practices, rosters and assistance.With direction from program staff, support head coaches with roster, equipment, and uniform management. Assist with coordinating transportation for athletes to competitions and opening consistent pathways of communication.
