On Saturday, August 29, Special Olympics Southern California will host a Team Up for SOSC event in Santa Maria. This fun-filled community event will feature sports activities, games, and opportunities to connect with Special Olympics athletes, families, coaches, volunteers, and Unified Partners.

Attendees interested in getting involved can learn more about Special Olympics programs, participate in sports demonstrations, explore volunteer opportunities, and complete their registration on-site. Whether they are looking to volunteer, coach, support athletes, or simply learn more about the organization, this event is a great way to get connected and make a difference.

We are seeking bilingual Spanish-speaking volunteer translators to help guide interested participants and their families through the registration process. Special Olympics Southern California will provide training and tablets, enabling volunteers to assist families with completing online registration and answering basic questions throughout the event. This is a meaningful opportunity to help remove language barriers and ensure more athletes and families can access Special Olympics programs.
